Week 06 - Hilly week

The trainers of the High Performance Running Team planned 3 hill repeat workout sessions this week. As the week progressed, the recovery came back to the level that I had before my 'mandatory' yearly winter cold.

As such, the body recovered quite well from the hard hill repeat on Monday in the course of Tuesday (travel day this week) and Wednesday. On Thursday the second hill repeat was scheduled. In contradiction to the many longer hill repeats (~200m), we only executed 16 shorter hill sprints (~80m) with lots of rest between them (2`). The last day of the week, a slightly different version of Monday`s workout was successfully executed.

Sunday afternoon, Nathalie and I went to the Marion Diehl pool to do an alternative recovery training. This week totals 117K of running. Once again: I couldn't ever have thought that I was able to keep hitting this mileage. Since our Summer preparation started early September, the average mileage is set to 104.5K/week.

Feel free to comment and predict any PB improvements this Summer :-)

Sportive regards,
Wout
