This week, we`re getting the second phase of the ADP workout schedule started. Scott notices that the 1500m specificity can increase more quickly. As such the weekly training schedule will change quite a bit.
We'll still maintain the weekly mileage. Recovery runs will still be a very important aspect of the total miles logged. And yes, we`ll still keep the Long Runs going (17 miles at this moment). I`m getting more comfortable running at threshold pace. This was definitely something that was lacking last year and a component that had to be rebuilt.
I`m looking forward to the higher level of specificity. It will boost my motivation as I like the shorter stuff even more. As you know, the focus in 2013 will still be at 1500m and Mile distances. Just can`t wait to get started!
